Annie is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who works with clients from adolescence to adulthood in individual, couples, and group therapy.  She has provided therapy for multiple areas ranging from relationship tension to identity exploration, self-injurious behaviors to bereavement, substance abuse to career stress, and quality of life concerns to chronic depression & anxiety.  With regards to her training, Annie earned her MSW from New York University and BA from Emory University.  Post graduate studies, she joined the psychiatric division at New York-Presbyterian Hospital with rotations in child day treatment, outpatient mental health, and inpatient psychiatry.   Additional clinical work includes individual therapy with eating disordered patients at New York Psychiatric Institute, adolescent group therapy within the NY Department of Juvenile Justice, and training in family systems theory at the Ackerman Institute for the Family.  Most recently, she worked in a leadership position providing clinical supervision and expanding outpatient services for a community mental health clinic in North Carolina.  In addition to her private practice, Annie facilitates a weekly Dialectical Behavioral Therapy group at the Rockbridge Area Health Center.
